At Jamlex ("we"), your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Jamlex app, how we use and store it, and what rights you have over your data. By using Jamlex, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1) Information we collect
Account information
To create and manage your account, depending on how you sign in, we may collect:
- Email address
- Phone number
- Google Sign-In information
Learning data
To make your learning experience personal and to track your progress, we store data related to your learning, including:
- The words you've learned
- Your progress across categories and the Leitner box
- Quiz and exercise results
2) How we use your information
We use your information only to provide and improve the service, including to:
- Create and authenticate your account
- Store your learning progress and sync it across devices
- Personalize spaced repetition and word suggestions
- Provide app features such as progress stats and online teachers
3) Data storage and security
Your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
4) Online teachers and third-party services
When you use the online teachers feature, the content of the messages you send in the conversation is processed to provide a response, and this may be carried out through third-party services. We recommend that you avoid sharing sensitive personal information in these conversations.

You have full control over your data. You can permanently delete your account and all of your data from within the app itself (the right to be forgotten, in line with GDPR principles). After deletion, your account information and learning data are removed from our systems.

Jamlex is designed for general use and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information without parental consent, please contact us so we can remove it.
8) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you through the app.
